Wordful Wednesday for January 23, 2013

This week has been all about stretching my “blogging-wings” and going outside of my comfort zone. On Monday, I tried talking with pictures instead of words. On Tuesday, I tried talking in a new place altogether. And today, I’m going to try talking in another language! Ready?

Today’s word is hygge: the pleasant, genial, and intimate feeling associated with sitting around the fire in winter with close friends. (Danish)

In other words …

Thank you so much to everyone who stopped by my guest post yesterday, it was so wonderful to see you! The boys’ blog is all kinds of popular, and I have to admit, as much as I joke about loving Dave Dave’s writing, I was nervous about fitting in with him (and Arto and Rob). Turns out I needn’t have worried. Thanks to you guys, even though yesterday was one of the coldest, snowiest days we’ve had in Toronto yet this winter, I felt cozy and hygge all day!

Sending so much blog love your way. Have a wonderful Wednesday all!

love amb

PS: what did you think about having a non-English word today? Let me know!

    • I love German words! “Kindergarden” is another favourite. It just sounds so … cute! And appropriate. Glad to know that you’d be up for the occasional non-English Wordful Wednesday, thanks for the feedback my friend! Happy Wednesday back at ya :-)

  1. I loved the guest blog and it’s always good to go out of your comfort zone. While were on the subject of foreign languages I’m reminded of a George W Bush quote (he had many!) When he was in England he said, “The problem with the French is that they don’t have a word for entrepreneur.” LOL!
