Wordful Wednesday for March 13, 2013

Good morning! And welcome to halfway through your week. I hope it’s been a good one for you so far. I’m having all sorts of fun, myself. Corporate World has been a bit hectic, but I’ve been having so much fun solving the mysteries of the universe here with you, that I haven’t even noticed!

It's probably not helping my flibbertygibberty-ness, but man, does it go well with chocolate!

It’s probably not helping my flibbertigibberty-ness … but it tastes so good with chocolate!

You’ll be pleased to know that I’ve been tackling other deep, existential questions as well. Namely: how to make my new favourite chocolate cake in a cup recipe when I’m out of milk. I know; such a crisis. But the potential for decadent chocolate deliciousness can make a girl mighty resourceful. Turns out that three tablespoons of non-fat vanilla yogurt make a dreamy, creamy replacement. Combine that with a freshly brewed french roast coffee and you get a major caffeine rush, along with today’s word:

Today’s word is: flibbertigibbety: easily excited; hyperactive

In other words …

Wheeeeeeeeeeee! I am not going to be sleeping for a while, you guys; there was a lot of caffeine in that snack! Have a fabulous rest of the day – I’m off to tackle Corporate World, write my next 11 blog posts, reorganize my desk, pack lunches for the rest of the week …

love amb

  1. Wheeeeeeeeeeee! indeed πŸ™‚ Love your word–seems most appropriate for the author and day. Sounds like your Wednesday will be a good one and I will be here–along with many others, I’m sure–to prop you back up tomorrow when you crash from sugar and caffeine withdrawal. (though another cake in a cup for breakfast tomorrow would get you through) Good luck!! The yogurt trick is a good one–I like how you think.

    • Teeheehee. Doesn’t it though? Some days I feel like “flibbertigibbety” should be my middle name!

I so appreciate your offer to help me through tomorrow’s impending sugar/caffeine withdrawal – you are a true friend πŸ™‚ Although if I follow your excellent advice, help might not be needed … cake for breakfast as a preventative measure is an OUTSTANDING idea πŸ˜€

    • You’re right! It sounds even BETTER when you say it in a British accent! Oh Julie Andrews, is there nothing you can’t do? πŸ™‚

  2. If you read about some lady wandering around muttering something with a smile on her face…it’s probably me. I think just saying ‘flibbertigibbety’ can make you feel happy! Hope the rest of your day was equally flibbertigibbitous! πŸ™‚ Sorry…just.could.not.resist. xox

    • Hooray! Never resist the urge to add flibbertigibbity-ness to a sentence, that’s my motto! At least it is now, anyway. So glad I was able to make you smile today, xo.

  7. Ah, the cake-in-a-cup makes it’s first WBS performance. I had forgotten about your tweaks. Next time it’s yogurt for sure πŸ™‚

    • Next time I make one I’m putting some AMAZING CHOCOLATE SALT ON THE TOP!!! THAT I GOT FROM YOU!!!

I am still beyond excited about that, as you can probably tell. Thank you again! πŸ˜€
