My Favourite Television Show You’ve Never Heard Of: A Recap

Well.

That was interesting.

Either you guys really like watching television shows about secret agents with great hair; or you really like watching me trying to flirt with Dave over the internet; or my horoscope was wrong and I should have bought a lottery ticket yesterday after all.

Because yesterday, my friends, we broke the 200 mark here at Words Become Superfluous. Yup – over 200 views in one day! I may or may not have done a little happy dance at my desk when I got that news.

Angie Z from Childhood Relieved

Hey Angie! You look great. Thanks again for coming to my 100th post party. Want to come back when we hit 500?

Just kidding. I totally did a little happy dance at my desk when I got that news! I’ve only gotten those kinds of views once before in the almost-year that I’ve been camped out here in this little corner of the internet … and it happened when I wasn’t even the one doing the talking. (The hilarious Angie Z. of Childhood Relived helped me cap off my Pointless Nostalgic Countdown with a guest post. You can read it by clicking here).

Angie’s decision not to run away screaming to kindly contribute when I emailed her out of the blue gave me the blog-courage I needed to ask someone else if they would write a guest post for me a couple of months later, and we all know how that turned out.

And now here we are! Over another one hundred posts have come and gone, and I hope you’re all having as much fun as I am. A big Superfluous thank you to all of the new readers who’ve stopped by and started following this blog lately – we’re all so glad you’re here! Grab your favourite pair of pajama pants and make yourself comfortable.

And an even bigger thank you, along with much blog love, to the wonderful and wonderfully talented, funny, and supportive folks who have been here since the early days of Words. I knew I was looking for something when I started this blog last spring; I just didn’t know I was looking for all of you.

Enjoy your weekends everyone! I hope you spend time with the people who make you smile.

love amb

  1. What wonderful news 🙂 Looking forward to going back to some of your earlier posts via the links. Much fun seems to be had at WBS and I’m wondering what I’ve missed. Hope your weekend is great fun as well. My kiddos are in a play and the little one just woke up sans voice–let the dramedy continue 😉

    • Thank you Liz! Enjoy looking through the older stuff, and be sure to let me know if you find anything especially embarrassing! You know I’ll find a way to turn it into a countdown or a contest or something 😀

I won’t say “good luck” to your kiddos since that’s not how they do things in the theatah, daahling! But I will say “break a leg!” Do let me know what happens in the next episode of the dramedy with your little one – the show must go on, as they say, but I hope it goes on with her feeling better and you all have a fabulous weekend. 🙂

  2. YaY! So exciting. I agree….the reasoning in beginning a blog verses the “now” reasons, have changed. I just had no idea how many great bloggers and friends I was missing out on! Keep up the great work, my friend! ♥ paula

  3. I’ve been so busy working I’ve neglected my blog reading as well as writing. This is one blog I truly have missed…just keep doing what you’re baby 🙂 x

    • Hello my lovely! I am listening to Temper Trap over on YOUR blog and was just about to say the very same thing to YOU! It’s so good to see you Koco, you’ve been missed!

      • Thanks Amber, I’ve missed having time to write – here’s hoping I find more of it for both reading & writing. Half way finished a post on beauty tips just for something different – shake it up sort of thing.

      • Love it! Shake away, baby! It’s always fun to mix it up once in a while. I’ll keep an eye out for that post 🙂
