Wordful Wednesday for April 24, 2013

Good morning! I’m just going to jump straight in to today’s word, because I’m afraid that if I talk too much (who, me?) about it, then I’ll give the game away and spoil what I’ve got planned for the rest of the week.

You guys. We are going to have. So. Much. Fun.

Without further ado, today’s word is presentiment: anticipation, expectation

In other words …

I am feeling all twirly with presentiment and can’t even get away with pretending to be, you know, sane, today.

To sing us out, allow me to introduce you to Muse, who make a trip to crazy-town sound way cooler than I ever could. Enjoy!

love amb

  1. Ooh I love it! This clip reminded me of a bizarre nightmare I had where I was running across the tops of city buildings being chased by three men. I was carrying a guitar (which I have never played in real life) and when they finally cornered me I hit them with the guitar. I was then woken up by my poor husband who I had punched in the mouth…… Talk about a trip to crazy- town!

    • Oooh, guitar as weapon, I like it. You can take care of yourself, girl! But your poor husband – ouch!! I think this is the second of my posts in as many weeks to remind you of some awful nightmare … eeek. I’m not doing this on purpose, I swear! I’m sorry Jen! Don’t be scared of my blog! 🙂

  2. Never heard this, but thanks for the share! And I love your word: presentiment. It’s wonderful to anticipate something for a special occasion or a holiday, in fact. Gifts especially are fun opening when we know what we’re getting and we can’t wait for the day!

    • My pleasure Jack! I hadn’t heard it either, and then it came up on Songza a while ago and I’ve had it on repeat ever since. What can I say – I guess I can add “80s throwback Brit trip-hop” to the list of music I like!

Off to visit your blog now, so excited to see which WWW you’re featuring today 🙂

And I totally agree with you. Anticipation can be absolutely delicious.

  3. oh my gosh–I know and love that song!!! Played often on a local station–check it out as I think you’d like. http://www.thecurrent.org/

So, this is the quietest I’ve ever seen you, amb 😉 You have me intrigued and looking forward to whatever it is you have in store. I share your presentiment, though will leave the twirly part to you 😉

    • Awesome!! I’m listening to the current now – loving it already. Thanks for the tip Liz!

I know, it’s kinda weird, right? But it’s going to be great. You’re especially going to get a kick out of tomorrow, I think 🙂

    • Isn’t it groovy? I just can’t stop listening to it! Love the bass line.

You know what else I love? That you used “presentiment” in your comment!! It makes me so happy when these Wordful Wednesday words get out into the world! I feel like they’re my babies, leaving the nest and going out on their own, hahaha 🙂

I'd love to hear what you think!
