Much Ado About … Castle and Beckett

Oh my goodness. Did anyone else notice that I forgot to mention Dave this morning? Look at that: Day Seven of our challenge and I’m slacking off. I’d make a comment about how I’m so far ahead that I can afford to take a break for a day, but he’d come back with some boxing analogy or Rocky training montage, and then I’d get distracted and start singing “Eye of the Tiger” here at my desk and would lose precious momentum. And clearly, we can’t have that. So:

In keeping with today’s “Much Ado About … Friendship” theme, I’d like to give a shout out to one of my favourite pairs of television friends who are smart and funny and well matched … and who also happen to have some delicious, will-they-or-won’t-they chemistry … or at least they did until this season, when they finally got together. *swoon*

Today, Dave, you’re the bestselling author Richard Castle to my NYPD detective Kate Beckett. And just to bring things full circle, Castle is played by my beloved Nathan Fillion, who also stars in “Much Ado About Nothing”! See what I did there?!? xo.

Oh, come on. You guys could look a little more impressed. I thought that was pretty good!

    • LOL! No, I suspected it was you, actually. I think you’ve gone all mysterious on me once or twice before. I liked it, though. Added some thematic suspense to our murder-mystery series shout out, here! 🙂

Dave’s off the (blogging) grid until tomorrow night, when finals are over. Then I suspect he’ll stay off the grid a while longer and celebrate … he probably won’t see this until next week, by which point I will have already DECLARED MY VICTORY!!!

  1. OMG!!! Did you see the Castle finale???? It was crazy! Not that I want the summer to go too fast or anything, but man oh man I can’t wait till the fall to see what happens!
Great posts the last few days cousin! I just love this theme!

    • I know!!! I can’t wait either. This show just keeps getting better and better as the seasons go on 😀

I’m so glad you’re liking the posts, my lovely! I’m having a blast writing for this theme. xooooox

  2. I used to watch this show the first season or two. Really nice back-and-forth and the old dude-lady cagey non-courtship business. Good stuff. And that Mr. Fillion can really bake a cake.

I don’t know what that means. I just like him and think he’s funny.

    • Yes, exactly! Dude-lady cagey non-courtship business is the bees knees. Subtext is hot.

If I see Mr. Fillion at the fan expo in August, I will pass along your cake baking compliments 🙂

I'd love to hear what you think!
