Good morning, and welcome to a very special Wordful Wednesday !!!
In case the excessive exclamation marks didn’t give it away, I’m really excited that you’re here. You’d be forgiven for thinking that after two days of romantic comedies and swooning over authors and eating way too much chocolate, we’d be taking it easy around here. That certain, pocket-sized bloggers might want to lay low, find a fun sounding word for “nap” or “sugar coma”, and call it a day.
Not so, my friends.
I feel like the energizer bunny of the blogsphere, and I can’t even take the credit for it. Allow me to introduce today’s word, and explain why:
Today’s word is pangyrize: to appreciate; to compliment
In other words …
EJ gave me (another) blog award, so obviously, I’m turning this into (another) thing. A hot pink fuzzy bunny thing, with hearts and sparkles and a soundtrack and my very best virtual mascara. If you’ve been visiting me for a while, this won’t come as a surprise; you know I never follow the rules with these blog awards. I can’t help it; my inner drama-geek takes over and I orchestrate a giant production instead. (If you’re new to the Words Become Superfluous neighbourhood, click here to see what I mean).
In this particular instance, the official rules for the Sunshine Award state that I need to answer 10 questions about myself, and then pass this award on to 10 other bloggers.
Instead, Ewen Joel and I are officially going speed dating.
And you’re all invited!
The questions for this Sunshine Award are going to be up to you, but the Speedy 10 Second Rule is officially in effect. Here’s the plan: EJ needs a distraction from a long week and a lot of work, and I need to practice talking less (I’m looking at you, Twitter). So while we’re on this “date”, EJ and the rest of you can ask me any questions you’d like* in the box below … and I’ll have to answer it in 10 words or less. See what I did there ?!?
Since he told me “anything goes” I’m going to put a few questions in there for EJ, too. The best questions, along with the best (or worst, depending on how I do at this) answers will be published here on the blog at the end of the week, along with a soundtrack, of course.
And then EJ can decide if he wants a second date. Speedy 10 Second Rule optional.
