Good morning! Thanks so much for coming by today – I have something to tell you. It’s going to come as a surprise, so brace yourself.
I really, really like decorating for the holidays.
I know, you never saw that one coming! Especially since I’m so conservative with my colour palette around here.
Obviously, I’m teasing. You know and I know that I love getting all dolled up for the holidays – and my little corner of the internet is no exception. When you were waving your cursor around and playing in the (digital) snow yesterday (thanks for the tip, Diddy!), did you happen to notice the “Contact” icons on the right-hand side of the page? Even they’ve been changed to a seasonally appropriate icy blue!
Little details like that make my blogging heart happy, particularly on a day like today. When things are loud and stressful in Corporate World, it helps to know that I can always colour co-ordinate. Comfort and joy, indeed. Which brings us to today’s virtual advent treat.
In an attempt to spare my pocket-sized waistline, I’m coping with arts and crafts. And I made you a present! Today’s treat is:
Holiday themed social icons, designed by amb
These days, most of us maintain multiple social networks, and I know a lot of you like to link to things like your Facebook, Pinterest, and Twitter accounts from your blog. And now you can do it in four delicious holiday flavours: Gold Glitter, Silver Sparkle, Traditional Dad Plaid, and Ugly Christmas Sweater !!!
An example of each is below. You can download a copy of any of the images by clicking on the links at the bottom of this post, and saving the icons directly to your computer. And because I love you (and because I’d really rather do this than eat an entire pan of peanut butter marshmallow squares), if there’s another icon that you’d like to have, like Flickr, for example, let me know in the Comments, along with the pattern you’d like, and I’ll whip it up for you.
How do you decorate for the holidays? Do you follow the same theme each year, or switch it up? Tell me all about it in the Comments!
