My Life as a Movie Monday: Back to the Future

Hi! Good morning! How was your weekend? I missed you! I didn’t check in on the blogsphere or anywhere else online – except for looking at pictures of cute boys on Facebook over breakfast with a friend on Saturday, I was unplugged all weekend, and it was lovely.

And now, after spending 48 whole hours in the real world interacting with actual friends and family in actual real time, I am, of course, missing my favourite fictional characters horribly. I am in desperate need of a Hollywood fix, so let’s just jump right into it, shall we? Last week, I:

So, last week, my life as a movie was “Back to the Future”

Oh, goodness. Two eighties movies in a row. I would apologize, except that I’m not the least bit sorry for bringing neon high top sneakers and acid wash jeans and fresh faced young movie stars with floppy hair to your Monday. I do these things because I care, you guys.

I love so many things in this photo I can't even caption it.

Austin, this is for you πŸ™‚

What do you do to brighten up a cold winter Monday? Tell me all about it in the Comments!

  1. I get out of the house and go to work πŸ™‚ Way too many “snow days” (though it’s more the cold than snow) for the kids this year.

Sounds like you had a good weekend–yay! Good luck with the start of your week.

    • I know what you mean Liz, getting out into the world can definitely be energizing! Things are cold here today but not, I think, as chilly as they are for you! Sending you warm thoughts and good luck with the start of your week too πŸ™‚

  2. hunkered down with extreme cold and snow days, movies will be on the agenda for sure. and i’ll write report cards in between. it could be quite funny if i type movie quotes into the cards. though i’m not sure everyone would appreciate the humor as much as i would. ps – you can never have ‘too much 80’s’

    • Movies, whoohoo! That sounds like my kind of agenda for sure! And I am loving the idea of movie quotes for comments, too – “Little Johnny has the need, the need for speed!” Bahahahaha. Thanks for the laugh on a Monday morning Beth (and for supporting my 80s movie addiction!)

  3. What is this amazing movie of which you speak? Why have I never heard of it before? How do I watch it? Why is there do photo of the dashing Doc Brown in your post????

  4. Hi amb, I am back with a new profile picture but with the same love of writing (and commenting too) Back to the Future II is my favorite of the three. I agree with “ksbeth” You can NEVER have enough 80’s. Its a blah monday in the Bluegrass but It’s all good!

    • Michael, welcome back! How nice to see you – literally πŸ™‚ Looking forward to seeing you around here more often! The first of the trilogy is my favourite, but I like II as well. III on the other hand … the Wild West?! Really?!? πŸ˜€

    • Oh, definitely a great Monday! πŸ™‚ I’m hoping you posted about the Proclaimers since I haven’t heard of them before, and am heading over to your corner of the internet to check them out. xo.

I'd love to hear what you think!
