I Promise I Wasn’t Kidnapped by a Theatre Troupe ….

… although that sounds like it would have been a pretty good time!

Good morning, you guys. I’m still here, really I am. I had a wonderful time at the Stratford Festival and had at least three blog posts worth of awesome things happen in the two days I was away … and then I came home and found the pocket-sized place  full of water.

Well, the kitchen was, anyway. So it could have been worse. No televisions or laptops went swimming while I was away, which is good news! But then two more leaks were discovered in the kitchen sink plumbing after the initial one was repaired, which is … not.

Of course my to-do list makes Shakespeare jokes. As if you're surprised.

Of course my to-do list makes Shakespeare jokes. As if you’re surprised.

And the hamsters have all strapped on their little water-wings and kept right on running in Corporate World, and my to-do list has been getting longer, and blogging has, I’m afraid, fallen near the bottom, somewhere around  “organize my closet” and “finally start watching Orange is the New Black”.

I’m going to get myself organized and back here on a regular basis eventually, because I always feel better about things after I’ve had a visit with you … I’m just not sure what that’s going to look like yet. I might be only stopping by a couple of days a week, or I might take a little bit more time off before coming back to our regularly scheduled programming.

What would you prefer to see here over the next few weeks? Take the poll (select all that apply) or tell me all about it in the Comments!

  1. Girl. Maybe you should have run off with the theatre troupe? In fact, if you see a theatre troupe—or a band of gypsies, or a circus, etc—send them my way.

So sorry you’re having water problems! Those are terrible! I hope your life balances our a bit soon! Blog whenever you can—only enough to bring joy and not stress. We’ll be here, of course!

  2. That’s one of the most balanced sets of poll results I’ve ever seen! Your features are all equally loved!

Hope the kitchen makes it out OK. Arto and Leslie just had some kitchen flooding and are having their kitchen replaced too!

  3. Amb–having experienced more than one indoor water feature myself, you have my sympathy! Glad to know the electronics were spared.

On a separate note, take the time you need to recover. We’ll be here enjoying the highlights as you have time.

No matter what you do, just more of this. Because then, I feel like the world is a familiar place! 🙂 xoxoox

I'd love to hear what you think!
